“[The game] will star a female assassin named Aveline, who is of mixed French/African heritage. It will be released alongside Assassin’s Creed III this fall, the story will take place in New Orleans (yes!) during the same time period as Assassin’s Creed III, it’ll have multiplayer, and won’t feature Desmond.

Aveline will meet Connor from Assassin’s Creed III, and her mentor will be an escaped slave, which combined with the location and time period could mean that “Liberation” probably refers to the liberation of American slaves.

The back-touch screen will let you pick pockets, and all of New Orleans will be explorable without any loading screens. It will also take players into Mexico. Oh, and it will feature alligators!

Sounds Like Assassin’s Creed Will Debut a New, Female Assassin’s Adventure On The Vita This Fall [ Kotaku ]

holy shit guys, look, look at her outfit, she isn’t even sexualized at all. I can’t believe it, and she’s a main character. A GIRL MAIN CHARACTER IN AN ACTION GAME THAT ISN’T THERE TO BE EYE CANDY.

I’m… I’m so proud. It’s catching on!!

Her design is BAMF.

I decided to do hand-lettered type for some webcomics some of my friends run. Had a lot of fun messing around, maybe I’ll stick em on a light box and ink them sometime later.

Thanks for looking everyone!

What's the process you use when you create characters?

Characters usually start from one of two places for me: A role of some sort that needs filling or a basic visual design. At that point, the character is already created and the rest is discovering them. I can’t tell my characters what to do. It’s either in them to do something or not and some of them are very vocal about who they are. I think the beauty of characters is that, like real people, you can’t know all of them because they aren’t you. I observe the characters I’ve created, ask them questions, and listen. Get into their head and watch how they make choices and react. I won’t tell them how to react. Most of the time I can guess what they’ll do, but sometimes they surprise me. I guess you can call that a creation process? And to clarify why a visual design can be a starting place, I don’t believe that clothing defines a person, but it sure as hell is an extension of them. It’s an expression to the outside world of so many personal choices like aesthetics, personal comfort levels, and how they respond to and interact with the society in which they live. Clothes can be a great starting place for a character.

I think that answered the question? XD My creation process is more discovery than actual creation.

Reblog if you want your followers to ask you anything they’re curious about.
